color mode exercise

 Bitmap

Bitmap has only 2 colors which makes it the smallest file, 2.8k. The output is 300 and 50% threshold which 2 colors will always appear as black and white.

 Grey Scaled

The Gray Scaled is the second smallest file by 22.9k. It's a little higher because grey has 256 shades same as RGB.
 Indexed Color

Indexed color is limited to 4-12 and its 9. The file size is 59.4k a lot higher because it includes a lot more colors in Indexed.
RGB

It's the highest file size by 2.22m because its the normal mode of the photo.  It has 16.7 million colors to create the image in this mode.

PS: Color Modes: Worksheet/Quiz

1. Can you change FILE FORMAT just by changing it's name? Discuss

No because it will confuse the computer and errors can occur.

2. How many colors are in the following COLOR MODES?

   RGB: 16.7

Indexed Color: 0-256

Greyscale: 256

Bitmap:2

3. What happens to the (uncompressed) FILE SIZE as you change the COLOR MODES. Discuss

It lowers the file size, because it has less colors and size.

4. What happens to the visual quality of images as you REDUCE the number of colors by changing the color mode?

It changes and loses its quality and data.

5. What is a good reason to convert PSD files to JPG?

  To use it for delivery.

crayon rubbings

The goals of the crayon project was to create a flay colored drawing that had text, texture and symbols. I learned that overlapping these 3 images in one area could be mixed and combined and you can tell a story out of the overlapped images.
The color cyan is overlapped with the colors, orange and yellow. I could've expanded the colors, orange and yellow to be more overlapped with cyan

In this crayon overlapping, I was just learning how to overlap a text, texture and symbol all together on top. I had trouble drawing all the objectives on this drawing because I was a little confused but I did end up including everything in the drawing. I used 5 colors to add the text, texture and symbol, it was hard but it was worth it.
